The Trans Euro Trail is an incredible GPS track that circumvents Europe. This amazing dirt road/trail goes through so many European countries and provides motorcycle adventure riders a true taste for ADV riding in Europe. The scope of scenery is literally all over the map. Some riders will do specific legs of the TET and others venture out to complete the entire route. The TET is over 21,000 miles long, over 4 times longer than the TAT.

Acadia National Park, Maine (Bar Harbor)
There are a few things certain in this world, and one of those are prices are always going up. Sorry for the pessimistic view, but there are 17 National parks where the entrance fees are increasing in 2018 during peak seasons. It will now be $50 per motorcycle, $70 for cars, and $30 on bicycle or on foot. This is still a proposal but looks as if it will be going to happen. The funds will be used to improve the parks.
“The infrastructure of our national parks is aging and in need of renovation and restoration,” said U.S. Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke. Some will get the increase in May 2018 and others in June and Joshua Tree is still undecided.
The parks that are getting the increase are:
- Bryce Canyon
- Grand Canyon
- Grand Teton
- Sequoia & Kings Canyon
- Zion National Parks
- Mount Rainier
- Rocky Mountain
- Shenandoah National Parks
- Joshua Tree National Park (read more about Joshua Park here)
Riding your adventure motorcycle through the National Parks here in the US is a great joy to be had. Stay on designated legal dirt roads and enjoy all these great parks have to offer.
I needed a dry bag for an adventure motorcycle camping trip I was taking, and really liked a few bags from Twisted Throttle, Giant Loop and few others, but they all seemed pretty expensive for what they were– waterproof dry bag. So while picking up some camping supplies at Cabela’s I ran across a perfect bag that works well and was super inexpensive so I decided to share this info. It is not a motorcycle dry bag per se, it is actually a boat bag, but serves the same purpose, waterproof, easy to access, has outside mesh pocket that came in handy on my trips. I am able to strap it through the handles so that worked well. It also has a reflective logo on it, which is always a bonus when riding.
I have used it on a few trips and one trip in particular it saw a ton of rain and kept my clothes nice and dry. Overall it is a great bag and at a very reasonable price and worth consideration. If this bag had a few more straps or handles for additonals options of securing to my bike, that would have been great, but wasn’t a deal breaker and a coule bungees hold in nice and secure.
The bag I am talking about is Mustad Dry Carryall bag, they have them in a few different sizes too. I am sure they sell them in many places as they are fishing hook company that distributes to many reatilers, but overall this bag may make a great dry bag packing solution for your riding adventures.
